The Judicial and Legal Services Commission advises Her Excellency the Governor on appointments to the following offices:

  • Chief Justice and other judges of the Grand Court;
  • President of the Court of Appeal and other judges of the Court of Appeal;
  • Attorney General;
  • Director of Public Prosecutions;
  • Magistrate; and
  • Such other office in the public service, for appointments to which persons are required to possess legal qualifications, as may be prescribed by any law enacted by Legislature.
